BORN, SiM (Heart-Town Festival/山海屯音樂節, 8/9/2014)

This summer I went back to Taiwan to visit family. Luckily a rock/metal music festival was taking place in Taichung while I was in the country. The two-day lineup had a lot of bands that I hadn't heard of, and a lot that I've wanted to hear for a while, but with other pressing matters at hand, my sister and I opted to only go on the first day of the festival.

MAN WITH A MISSION (Bottom of the Hill, 7/8/2014)

Hello again! Now that I have segued out of summer classes, I've started focusing my attention on de-stressing, working in lab, and starting to get ready for Taiwan. I kicked off the first week of my summer vacation by heading over to San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill to catch MAN WITH A MISSION on their U.S. tour.

MAN WITH A MISSION (The Roxy, 12/5/2013)

It might be too late and no one cares anymore, but last December I flew down to Los Angeles to see MAN WITH A MISSION! The two-day tour (first in New York City, then in Los Angeles) was already fairly last minute in terms of their announcement, so my ticket was booked in only a few days. Unfortunately the show was the night of my last final, so in my excitement I wasn't able to study well for my test. Well, it's the show I'll remember 10 years from now, not that exam I failed (right?)

How many new beginnings have I had?

Hello, hello.

This is definitely the nth blog I've started, but this time I'm a bit more motivated to grow and develop it as a means of preserving my experiences, my memories, and improving myself. Hopefully it'll become a place that I feel gives me "me time" and control over my life. I've have various realizations in the last few days, and as I'm turning the corner into my fourth year of college, this is going to be my active attempt to expand my horizons and branch beyond the notion of "school is life" that I have held for too long.

Today is the first of July, 2014. Not a significant day, but it is the last week of summer classes, so this isn't the best idea I've ever had, but the obsessive-compulsive part of me is very glad.

Though I won't be updating daily, and I'm not sure what to write about yet, I hope you, whoever you are, wherever you are, will join me for the ride.
